A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a typo. The drawback of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam messages, but this problem can be resolved by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also vital to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox without any effort in case you have a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet stunningly simple to work with, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve got will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you’ll see a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a tiny symbol conveniently located right next to each one. With only a single click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option through the menu that will surface. In case any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
